This has been posted in several places, im just posting for personal intrigue as well as my love for the violin, an article by the Washington Post did an experiment to see if anyone would stop and hear the music. The violinist? He is wildely popular violinist Joshua Bell for whom many has dished out hundreds of dollars just to listen to him play.
So on hand with one of the most expensive violins in the world he plays in the middle of rush hour to play many of the worlds famous classical peices. Personally, its the middle of freaking rush hour in one of the most busiest cities in America...unless you had any time at all and a likeing for the beauty of music i doubt many would stop or at least wish they had time to stop and hear the music.
